Welcome to FitPulse, developed by Kenny Lee ("I," "me," or "my"). I am committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the FitPulse App ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information I Collect

I collect the following types of information to provide and improve the App’s services:

• Personal Information: When you set up your profile, you may provide:
  • Weight (in kilograms)
  • Height (in centimeters)
  • Gender (Male, Female, or Other)
• Workout Data: When you log workouts or running sessions, I collect:
  • Exercise name, type (e.g., Running, Gym, Bodyweight), and muscle group
  • Workout metrics (e.g., sets, reps, distance, duration, pace, calories burned)
  • Location data (e.g., running routes, if location services are enabled)
• Reminder Settings: If you enable exercise reminders, I collect:
  • Reminder preferences (e.g., enabled status, time, days of the week)
• Device Information: I may collect:
  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage data (e.g., features used, time spent)
• Location Data: For running sessions, I collect precise location data if you grant permission, used to track routes and calculate distance/pace.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use your information to:

• Provide core App functionality, such as logging workouts, tracking running sessions, and calculating calories burned.
• Enable location-based features, like mapping running routes.
• Send push notifications for exercise reminders, if enabled.
• Improve the App’s performance and user experience through anonymized usage analytics.
• Personalize your experience, such as saving your workout settings or profile data for quick access.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms (e.g., Core Data). I do not transmit your personal information to external servers or third parties. I implement reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, such as encryption for sensitive information. However, no method of storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing

I do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties, except as required by law or to comply with legal processes (e.g., subpoenas, court orders).

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View your profile, workout, and reminder data within the App’s Settings and workout history.
• Edit: Update your profile or reminder settings at any time in the App’s Settings.
• Delete: Delete your data by removing workouts or resetting the App. To fully delete all data, uninstall the App, which removes locally stored data.
• Location Permissions: Control location access via your device’s settings. You can disable location services, which will prevent running route tracking.
• Notifications: Enable or disable push notifications in the App’s Settings or your device’s notification settings.

If you are in a region with specific privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have additional rights, such as requesting data portability or objecting to data processing. Contact me to exercise these rights.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe I have collected such data, please contact me to have it removed.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in my practices or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted at https://fitpulse-web-0306.web.app/privacy_policy.html with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
